Diagnosis: ADHD
Study: Methylphenidate hydrochloride in treatment of ADHD with and without comorbid anxiety disorder
(14 Week, randomized, placebo-controlled, cross-over)
This is a two-site study designed to investigate the efficacy of flexibly dosed controlled release methylphenidate hydrochloride capsules in the treatment of adult ADHD with and without comorbid anxiety disorder including Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD), Panic disorder (PD), or Agoraphobia
Inclusion:

18-65 years old
-
A diagnosis of childhood onset ADHD with or without comorbid diagnoses of GAD, SAD, PD, or Agoraphobia

Stable medication for 8 weeks prior
Exclusion:

Montgomery-Asberg depression rating scale (MADRS) score greater than 24

Suicidality
-
Substance-use disorder
-
PTSD
-
History of more than 2 failed trials of adequately dosed psychostimulants

Current psychotherapy (within 4 weeks of starting trial)
