Diagnosis: MDD or Anxiety disorder
Study: Predicting Treatment Response to Evidence-based Interventions in Major Depressive Disorder: Evaluating Biomarkers with Clinical Utility
This is a naturalistic study designed to assess the utility of various physiological markers in predicting response to MDD and anxiety disorder interventions.
Inclusion:
-
18-65 years old
-
Primary diagnosis of Major Depressive Disorder or any anxiety disorder, according to DSM-5 criteria
-
Receiving outpatient care at CAMH (pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy) or enrolled in any treatment study
Exclusion:
-
Currently experiencing psychotic symptoms

Active substance use disorders in past 6 months

Safety concerns e.g. suicide or homicide risk

Existing heart condition which would affect accurate measurement of HRV

Presence of additional medical or psychiatric condition deemed by investigator capable of confounding study data
